StonehamBank Appoints New President

STONEHAM, MA – September 2018 – StonehamBank has announced the appointment of Paul Totino as President of StonehamBank. Totino, who succeeds Janice T. Houghton, has served as the Bank’s Chief Strategy Officer since January 2018.

“Paul has been an integral part of the leadership team, guiding the Bank through successfully implementing strategic initiatives this past year,” says Janice T. Houghton, Chair of the Board of Directors at StonehamBank. “His experience and understanding of the industry are important assets that will allow StonehamBank to realize greater achievements in the upcoming years.”

“I’m enthusiastic about my new role at StonehamBank,” Mr. Totino says, “Our team can do incredible things. We’re heading in a great direction, and I am excited to continue that trend.”

As Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Totino has been responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Bank's commercial and retail strategy.

Ms. Houghton’s retirement is effective November 9, 2018. Her career at StonehamBank spans more than 45 years, including periods as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Bank, as well as working in the branches, lending and finance departments in a variety of positions.  Houghton will remain with StonehamBank as Chair of the Board of Directors. She has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since July 1999.

Mr. Totino, a veteran community banking executive and a Harvard Alum, brings professional leadership that truly embodies the "StonehamBank Way" and gives emphasis to the Bank’s goal to impact the local communities.
