StonehamBank Announces Staff Changes at Billerica Branch!

StonehamBank President & CEO Janice Houghton recently announced staff changes at the bank’s Billerica Branch, located at 493 Boston Road.

Effective immediately, Rebecca Scott, formerly the Branch Manager at that location will be transitioning to the Commercial/Construction Lending department. Rebecca is an eight year employee of the bank, having spent the last four of those years at the Billerica branch. She is, in her words, “eager to broaden (her) knowledge as a StonehamBank employee,” as she makes this transition. She currently serves as the Billerica Rotary President and resides in Melrose.

Joseph Smith, a Wilmington resident, has assumed the duties as StonehamBank’s Billerica Branch Manager. Joe has been in the banking industry for eighteen years, primarily in the retail services area, and joined StonehamBank this past September. “The fact that StonehamBank is extremely involved with giving back to the community through volunteering is a huge aspect of working here,” Joe shares, adding, “(Volunteering) is a positive and rewarding experience as well as the best type of exposure for the bank and our employees.”

Chelmsford resident Robert Berkovitz has been named Assistant Branch Manager in Billerica. Rob joined StonehamBank this past April and brings twenty years of banking experience in both large and small Boston area banks to his position. “I truly enjoy working for a bank that cares about the community it is in,” he notes, adding, “At StonehamBank we go that extra step. StonehamBank recognizes the importance of being a good neighbor.”

Rob has a strong history in bank compliance and branch training as well as management experience. We are truly excited to welcome the new management team to the Billerica branch,” she adds.
