StonehamBank Expands its Commercial Loan Department!

Robert D. Brown appointed Vice President, Commercial Loan Department at StonehamBank

Janice T. Houghton, President and C.E.O. of StonehamBank, announced the recent appointment of Robert D. Brown to the position of Vice President of StonehamBank’s Commercial Lending Division.

Brown, a seasoned commercial lender, joins StonehamBank with over 34 years of experience in the banking industry. Brown worked for various financial institutions throughout his career, the most recent banks being Northern Bank and Trust as Assistant Vice President, Central Bank as Assistant Vice President and Woburn National Bank as Assistant Vice President.

As Vice President of Commercial Lending, Brown will focus extensively along the 128/93 belt expanding StonehamBank’s’ Commercial Client base and offering flexible lending programs to area businesses.

Brown currently resides in Woburn, MA with his wife Jane. He is also a member of Woburn Kiwanis Club and Treasurer of the Woburn Friends of Hospice.

Edward F. Doherty, Jr. appointed Vice President, Business Development/Commercial Loan Department at StonehamBank

Janice T. Houghton, President and C.E.O. of StonehamBank, announced the recent appointment of Edward F. Doherty, Jr., to the position of Vice President, Business Development/Commercial Loan Department of StonehamBank.

Doherty, a seasoned commercial lender, joins StonehamBank with approximately 6 years of experience in the banking industry. Doherty worked for various financial institutions throughout his career, the most recent banks being Citizen’s Bank as Relationship Manager, Vice President and Northern Bank & Trust Company as Commercial Loan Officer, Assistant Vice President and Commercial Credit Analyst.

Doherty earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson College.

As Vice President of Business Development/Commercial Lending, Doherty will enhance the Bank’s business development area. In addition, Doherty will focus on expanding StonehamBanks’ Commercial Client base by offering flexible lending programs to area businesses.

Doherty currently resides in Hanover, MA with his wife Kerri and his three children Keira, Declan, and Gannon. He is also a Board member of Boys & Girls Club, Woburn, MA and the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce.
