StonehamBank presented The Central School of Stoneham, Massachusetts with a check for $4,500 to support a wonderful initiative: The Homework Club. The Homework Club is an after school program that provides students in grades 3, 4, & 5 with personal and/or small group assistance with homework three nights during the school week.

StonehamBank not only donates their money, they donate their time as well. StonehamBank employees serve as guest readers throughout the various classrooms of The Central School. They also help to educate third grade students through the Savings Makes Cents Program; an innovative way to generate excitement about banking knowledge from a young age.

Central School recently posted the following statement on their 2009-2010 Improvement Plan, “The relationship between Central School and StonehamBank continues to benefit the students of Central School in many different ways.”
